Yup, I feel really yucky...it just gets worse it seems day by day.

Does anyone know how long a herx lasts...days, weeks, months?!

Thanks.

Hi, I think it depends ..for 1, how long you've had lyme. I've had it over 20 yrs..when we finally hit on the right combo, I herxed for 3-4 months straight, now regular every 2-3 wks. hang in there.

a single herx often only lasts for two or three days with me but its different for everyone depending on the combination of antibiotics and where you are in treatment
ive known people who herx for weeks at a time but usually expect a few days

take the time to rest, dont make any plans that use lots of energy , you wont have it til the herx is over
sometimes side effects from an abxare similar to herxes. best bet is to talk to your Dr

I've only been on abx (doxy, 400mg/day) for 3 weeks (almost). Lyme, I've probably had for 20 years...

It just stinks to feel this way. It was bad enough before, but now it's almost unbearable. The only thing keeping me going is that it may be worth it in the end.

I'll try to hang in and keep smiling.
Thanks so much!

Mine usually lasted 7 to 10 days with the nights always being worse than the days.

Yeah, it does stink to feel this way, but the only way out is to go through it. This too shall pass.

Remember, you are not alone....others are herxing too!

Gentle hugs,
Nancy
