This is a strange question, but there was a person on here a while back who said they got Bicillin L-A from vet source???
I looked into it and it looks exactly the same as regular Bicillin LA, only much much less expensive. I will talk to my vet about it as well...just wondering as I can't afford it and am looking into other ways of getting it! Thanks so much!

Not certain. There also may be formaldehyde added...its just a thought right now. Someone told me about a source that seems exactly the same but I have reservations. There is a website about giving elephants bacillin L-A. I could go for an elephant shot!
Is there a needymeds program from the drug company? I didn't see it when I looked into it on needymeds. Anyone know? thanks!

Many human drugs are used by the veterinary community and are identical. Especially if it's a product that is still under patent and is a brand name, it will be the same thing.
There isn't enough money in the veterinary field of medicine for drug companies to make all products available to meet USDA needs - just isn't the market for it. However, FDA standards for human drugs (that are also used by vets) are set with human use standards.
In my household, we use a few medications, prescribed by my vet, that are originally for human needs but we adapt them for the animal.
Your mileage may vary. Hope this is helpful. Any pharmacist can help determine the authenticity of a prescription medications, too, whether they are a veterinary or human pharmacist. Be well, StinkBug
