Alright....here's what's goin on....I had been doing relatively ok aside from bad short term memory, I'm working and such.....and my doc just started me on this new med plan that he says is getting lyme patients off meds altogether.

Anyway, the protocall calls for me to take 800mg ketek, 1500 tindamax, and 500mg amantadine, but all on the same day....i had never before taken ketek and amantadine on the same day.

So anyway, I took 750mg Tindamax at noon, and then 400mg at 4pm.....about 30 min after i took the ketek i started feeling really out of it...like twighlight zone.....i started to panic, and went out for a brisk walk to try to blow off the anxiety...when i got back in my bp was 150/90 and my heart rate 120. Then I started feeling pressure in my temples.....what the hell is going on?

I was fine taking ketek 800mg and tindamax 1500mg a day by themselves....but taking just one pill of each on the same day has caused something intense here.....what do i do?

How are you feeling now?
What are you doing about the new protocol?

Your feeling of panic seems like a normal reaction considering the results of the new drug combo.

I'm not a dr, but I believe that anytime there is an unusual reaction following new meds or a new combination, the doctor should definitely be called.

It's always better to err on the side of caution.

Hey there sorry to hear your still having problems,, as do I as I am still reading this board LOL

amantadine increases dopamine I believe.
Anything that increases dopamine has the very real potential of increasing nor-epinephrine.

Also the increased dopamine/nor combo always gave me panic. Panic attacks. At first it might make me wake up and think quicker,
but after a while my heart would race and my blood pressure shoot up.

happend with

Ephedrine
Wellbutrin
NADH
Deprenyll

Those all increase dopamine. And allthough I know that my dopmamine needs to be increased alot, I think these did it in the wrong part of the brain. So I experienced panic.

Some did work for a little though.

perhaps it may be bestto start with a smaller dosage pulksing it in and slowly increase rather than such a large dose at once.

call your physician immediately about the rise in blood pressure and heart rate
