If you have TMJ (the popping of the jaw joint in the ear), it can be helped with abx if Lyme is the cause, but I believe that most people have it to some varying degree and it can be casused by lots of things, too, beside Lyme. So I am not saying that Lyme is not your problem, but certain things can be other factors. Drinking caffeine is enough to casue the problem! Caffeine tightens those muscles and because the joint is not very stable, that is enought to through it off. Other things-do you grind your teeth? Most people with an overbite do! Do you/Have you played sports? Ever had a blow t the face?
Those are all things that can make your TMJ-if that is what it is, harder to treat. There are TMJ specialists, and you should be able to contact one, ask a dentist of an MD for a name of a doc in your area. But, if Lyme is the main factor, abx should help, bit those are things to keep in mind.
