Good evening RDT and Welcome to LymeNet!Rocephin is a powerful drug, if used correctly.
Many have found that it has helped tremendously, but some have relapsed hard after use when their docs didn't follow up with the proper meds for a long enough period of time.
Also, with Rocephin, your doc may prescribe Actigall to help prevent gallbladder problems.
I was on Rocephin for about 5 months before moving on to other IVs...personally, it really helped, but it took a good while to see improvement.
A few questions so we can offer more informed opinions...
Do you know the expected length of treatment?
Is this the only drug you are taking right now?
What have you taken previously?
Have you been infected for long?
Any co-infections involved?
Do you have a good Lyme Literate doc that you are working with?
Have you contacted your local support group?
Are you following a good anti-yeast diet?
I know I seem a bit nosy...but without more information from you, we won't be able to give much back.
Here are a few new member links for you to read through. It is important to absorb as much as you can about this disease, so you will become a more proactive patient.
