Hi ya'll!

Diet Coke has come out with one sweetened with Splenda! It's a little different but a lot better than Diet Rite or Diet RC

Hi Lyma, so nice to hear from you!

About Splenda - I myself dislike that pop stuff, just as much because of the alu cans as because of the content in the can (or bottle if that's what artificial sugar comes in). Alu is a potent neurotoxin, many people tremor because of it, and so are most artificial sugars, including Splenda.

Please inform yourself before you indulge:

I avoid that stuff too, but maybe Splenda is a tiny step above aspartame?

Soda & splenda are really not a good idea for a Lymie to indulge in. Just my opinion, and about 100 other people.

I'm with Gi, Gi!

Kids with epilepsy are told NOT to have drinks with aspartame. Can't possibly be good if anyone has neuro problems.

Re: Splenda. Sugar is a chain of carbon atoms. They replaced some of them with chlorine. That is how it is made.

Jury's out on how the body will react to this. Personally, if really sick...until you are well...

Avoid soft drinks.

The phosphoric acid is not healthy either!

Sorry. This comes from a Pepsi lover so I know how tough this is!

This would be a good one for Melanie's how to save money string. I was spending about $12 a week on it. Swtiched to water and caffiene free tea. Excellent flavors for iced tea.

I was a huge diet Sierra mist addict. That was one of the first things my LLMD said to quit. Even Spenda! He said it turns (aspertame anyway) to formaldihyde in your body especially your joints.

I had to detox from it. I really can feel a difference. and it wasn't as hard as I thought.

Another Lymie told me about the a book called Sweet Poison - about the sweetener industry. haven't read it yet - on the list.
