I think I'm almost better. Does anyone know what my remaining symptoms mean - are they Lyme or Babesia? Sometimes I have mild burning headache behind my forehead, tinnitus, and when I walk uphill my muscles get tight. And I am still weak and fatigued, and when I am stressed out it is hard for me to concentrate. I though I got rid of Babesia but the headache makes me wonder.
I was "lucky" and had the rash, have been taking abx for a year. About 9 months ago was diagnosed as having Babesia also. Have been treating both aggressively since, including a round of Riamet back in February. I have not been taking Babesia meds for about a month (my insurance co. won't pay anymore and my LLMD, who knows what he is doing, wanted to see how I did without them).
I should also add that I have been treating severely compromised adrenal glands for about 2 months, and have been told that I am hypoglycemic, and started on strict diet 2 weeks ago. Before that I ate well but was eating pasta, rice (brown), and potatoes.

I started taking artisinin spelling--and that really thought it helped. But I broke out in a rash--so I'm having to take a break and see if it happens again.
Just a thought...

I actually brought up Artemisinin with Dr. P yesterday and he got this excited look in his eye and said, yeah, it works, do you know what it does? It's so cool. Apparently it binds with iron in blood cells and actually blows up babesia.
Try Art. Worth shot. He said to pulse it, 400 mg, 7 days on, 7 days off.

Thanks for your suggestions re: artemisinin. I probably should have mentioned that I took it for quite a long time (with breaks). But I never took 400 mg/day....I should try that and see what happens.
