A Meyer's cocktail is the ideal and very safe. It is "electromagnetically" balanced and many of the nutrients in it are needed.By electomagnetically balanced, I mean, Mg ++ (alkaline) and B vitamins -- (acidic).
This is nature's best...
This is why things that are "electromagnetically" balanced are good for us. For example, vegetables...organic
;-) contain some minerals together with many acidic vitamins. Fruits...NATURAL sugar (++) and acids. BALANCED.
Vets, for DOGS with arthritis, often recommend Epsom salt baths! Personally, I add a little baking soda too when I bath my dog.
I give my small (15 #) DOG kid's yougart on occasion (Ca and probiotics), cut up dried apricots (high in Mg), and cottage cheese (Ca) with dried (higher in Mg) parsley. Actually dog food is "healthier" than ours, believe it or not! (We've discussed this before on the board.) That's why dogs TEST positive for lyme easier than we do. The dog foods are HIGHER in the nutrients needed to make antibodies which then "show up" on the tests. Only healthy antibodies show up to prove one has lyme.
But you'd never catch me eating dog food!
To stop cardiac problems...very high doses of Mg are often given IV. Of course...slowly! The patient is closely monitored/watched. The biggest problem is relaxing the diaphram muscle too much (stopping breathing), but in a doctor's office/hospital setting, this can be very quickly countered by giving IV Calcium.
Restore the balance asap, but keep in mind...this has to be MAINTAINED for as many hours a day as possible with SMALL (!) doses more often until the infection is completely gone.
This pathogen replicates slowly, but not THAT slowly! 2 become 4, become 8, become 16, become 32...and we are starting out with more than 2 keets! Massive infection...fast.
One last thing because this complicates the issue...babesia.
It is curious but once again, in the 1970s in Germany, vets gave dogs who had neuro babesia IV sodium bicarb and it worked! These dogs were very acidic.
Hummmmm.
We're supporting a huge industry. Lyme is not the ONLY disease that follows these similar pathways...I can link 2 others.
Do we really want to find a cure?
Many, many years ago, doctors were using Mg chloride to cure MANY diseases (I talked about this in my Updated Nutshell post), but once vaccines came on the market...the natural approach was pushed aside. Unfortunately we messed up some of the vaccines years ago.
The general consensus among nutritionists is that many Americans are low in Mg and in chromium. And we wonder why so many develop diabetes and cancer?
We are what we eat. It greatly impacts our health.
It is very hard, and many simply won't give up junk foods and exercise. This is critical to staying healthy and to fighting off pathogens that we are constantly exposed to.
I am in contact with an HIV person who's mom just had a lumpectomy. Prior to surgery she went on the Budwig diet (not for lyme! as it's calcium based). To the surgeon's surprise, by the time surgery was performed, her lumps were 1/2 their original size!
Make a LOT of hydrogen and get it INTO the cells helps knock off a LOT of pathogens.
Our choice of which mineral to use combined with acids depends on the particular pathogen.
Myasthenia Gravis (sp?) patients would be harmed by Mg treatment since already their muscles are waaaaaaay too relaxed. Can you figure out what these people need?
Without Mg, one cannot hold onto K (potassium) or Ca (calcium) over time - these often rise at first, then drop. That makes Mg, in my opinion, THE MOST CRITICAL mineral. Then there's the 4th major electrolyte...Na (sodium).
We know that at least for psorasis (icky miserable skin condition), Na helps "soften" the skin cell walls allowing Mg entry. Sodium is often used prior to photo therapy (neg. charge).
P.S. Frequencies may also help, but these are "neg. charges" too...so head's up as far as restoring the minerals.
Sorry...rambling. So much info. swirling around in my head! Time for a break.
