May i ask a quick question please. I've been bit again by these miserable ticks and was hoping it would pass. It has not and I'm tingling all over, mostly hands and feet and I'm lightheaded, almost a feeling like being hypoglycemic. Does anyone know how to stop the tinlging? I am on biaxin 500mg twice a day but only started yesterday.
thanks so much,
rosemary

AARRRRGGGH!!!! I'm so sorry to hear this!!!! Was tingling one of your symptoms in the past?

Most LLMD's start you with doxy in case you got ehrlichiosis from the tick....but Biaxin is good otherwise.

Have you spoken to your LLMD?

hi Lymetoo,

I don't have a LLMD, i only have an infectious disease doctor and 1000 mg per day is all I know, and it's a 3 week course. I did not have tingling the first few times I was bitten. This is the first and it's almost maddening. I'm struggling but keeping the faith, you know what I mean. Right now it would almost beimposible to go to a LLMD.

Oh, Rosemary . . . I'm so sorry you've been bitten again. Please speak to your LLMD ASAP if you haven't already. Will be thinking of you.

Wow, Rosemary. Sounds like it's really bad. Are you already taking neurontin? Maybe your ID doctor would consider it.

What they said...I'm sorry.

I was "bitten again" too...Remember to ask for testing for coinfections. I picked up babesia WA1 on my last bite along with the lyme. It's ever so important to address the coinfections too....

When I was "bitten again" my symptoms got worse as well....more neuro symptoms.

You can refer your ID doc too the ILADS.org website for doctors treating these diseases.....It might help him get a handle on up to date approaches to all of our bugs..

Be gentle with yourself...
