I have tried them and they drew lots of brown sticky stuff out, but I haven't felt any better. I am not convinced they work. Perhaps the herbs in the patches just get wet with sweat and that's why the outside of the patch ends up dark and gooey.

I'm still using Podi patches and have gotten huge relief from them.

I've tried the ebay detox patches but have found that the podi patches from www.akgnaturals.com are by far the best. They have a new patch called "Heaven". It does not have the strong smoky smell of the original and has improved adhesive. Unfortunatley they don't work as well for me as the smoky original ones.

I first started podi patches when I had constant pain in my feet & ankles and felt like my calves were being pricked with pins. There was an electrical vibrating feeling in my feet that got worse and worse every night. Podi patches helped with that symptom immediately. I started sleeping through the night again when I used podi patches. I used them 3 or 4 times a week. They had a very strong smell when I removed them. Over time the smell got less and less. The color faded slightly too but the color is primarily determined by the patch ingredients.

In January I used the patches for 30 days straight and felt so much better. Now I sometimes go a week or more without them but use them as soon as the vibrating feeling starts up in my feet.

I also get relief from Epsom salt baths but can't always take baths when I travel. The new Heaven podi-patches are good for travel because they have very little odor and don't leak or drip like the ebay patches.

I put the patches on before bed and then leave them on for several hours in the morning. I wear warm socks over them. I rotate locations, ball of foot, heel, arch. To hold them tight against the arch I stuff a piece of cloth in my sock. I cut up an old shirt for this purpose.

I am very grateful to the person who made we aware of podi-patches on LymeNet since they have been a key part of my treatment. They relieve many symptoms, help me sleep, give me more energy and reduce brain fog.
