I don't know what to do anymore. I feel like the drugs that I'm taking are creating more problems and they're just not helping. I'm about to lose hope. The doctor says that I should probably switch from taking Ceftin twice a day to three times a day. Twice a day is even too much for me, because I keep forgetting to take it as soon as I get up in the morning. I've been very forgetful lately, and I don't know if it's the Ceftin or the Lyme. My symptoms still haven't improved. I still get pain on the upper side of my shoulder, I'm always so fatigued, and I get constant cracking in my joints. No it doesn't hurt, but it is annoying. And when I get up after having a good night's sleep, I wake up to drowsiness, and feel like I can go back to sleep and sleep another 10 hours. Who knows, maybe it's just the weather. I know I have a yeast problem because I crave for sugar, such as iced tea, candy, ice cream, and chocolate. This whole thing could be candida(yeast infection) but I'm so confused, I don't know what else to take besides Ceftin. I've taken Mino, Zithro, Mepron, Biaxin, Doxy, and many more.

Anyone have any ideas???? thanks.

amk

I got my shoulder pain under control with Flexeril. It's a muscle relaxer. It did make me tired at first, but it changed my life. It needs to be taken daily.

Once the Flexeril began working, I saw improvements from hands on physical therapy work and stretching.

But it is true that you should have heart and gall bladder looked at. I know nothing about ectopic pregancies.

I know how you feel amkdiaries. I've been feeling the same way lately, but what choice do we have?

Getting off meds may mean getting even sicker or disabled. At least I am functioning.

I am going to stick with it a while longer and hope science makes some headway on a cure for all.

You can't jump ship yet, you are still calling problems annoying. You'll be surprised just how much one can take if you have too. Stay on baord, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I am in 95% remission after being sick for over 20 years and my problems were far beyond annoying, they were approaching life threatening. So hang on.
http://cure2003.conforums.com/index.cgi

You've tried a lot of ABX and seem to be stuck. Another thing you might want to look into that can definetly prevent ABX for doing what they should is hypercoagulation or ISAC. Many who find themselves not progressing found treat the ISACs is what go them over the hump.

I could explain it right here, but due to time let me just refer you to my board where there is alot of research stuff to read, then you can come back here and ask questions if you need to. Read up on it real good then talk to your doc about it.

Heparin has been the first choice for treatment but there are now some VERY good natural alternatives, in the form of digestive enzymes. They are being recognised by traditional medicine as we speak. That info is on my website too, look under the topic on NattoK and other digestive enzymes.

amk....I'm really sorry to hear that you are so miserable. Hang in there, sweetie. Now, about that yeast. It could be the #1 reason you are so miserable right now.

I'm not saying you don't have Lyme. I'm sure your dr knows the score on that. But you cannot afford to ignore the yeast and think you're going to feel better on the abx.

Take it seriously, because systemic yeast can be serious!
