Depending on how long you have been infected with lyme and you and your partner had unprotected sex yes its possible. Watch for symptoms of lyme and get a LLMD.

I would get tested by a LLMD at a good lab for all of them.

The newbie links contain a lot of info--don't be overwhelmed. Just skim through the headings and pick out topics that are most relevant to you right now. I'd suggest starting with Dr. B's guidelines.

Many folks on Lymenet are sure that they got or gave coinfections (and LD) through their partners. I'm one of them. There is strong evidence for Bb being transmitted sexually; very little research has been done on sexual transmission of coinfections.

Some people can harbor the bugs but remain asymptomatic for a long time.

So -- getting your partner tested is the first step. And safe sex, until you're cleared of infection.

So sorry you picked up so many co-infections with your tick bite! OUCH!

You have been given some excellent advice.

There is much controversy on this topic, but, experience, in my opinion, outweighs the few "studies" available.

Please consider all Tick Borne infections as STDs, and practice caution.

I'm just curious...were you infected IN New Mexico?
