Does anybody get suddent, short-term shooting pain in the side of their heads? It then feels like there is some sort of liquid in the head (like something broke in there)? I did get it checked out a couple of times with CT scans and I had two MRIs as well, but nothing showed up.

Anybody else have this symptom? Any ideas?

Thank you!

I get the short stabbing pains on the side of my head. Haven't had them in a long time but since starting Doxycyline they've returned.

Same as you, I've had MRIs & CTs that did not show any problem. Must be nerve related?

I also get this pain in the side of my head. Never both sides at the same time though. I have decribed it to my DR as like an electrical shocking pain followed by some liquid popping or bubbling.

I also just had an MRI, and it came back normal. My DR. said my MRI was normal, but it looks like I have a sinus infection. I think that is funny, seeing that I dont even have a cold, runny nose or anything.
Makes me wonder what they seen on that MRI that would indicate to him I had a sinus infection.
Anyways,, he offered amox.. Of which I declined.
I would really like to know what this is too!!

Yes, I have been getting them on and off for years, the stabbing pains in head. Not sure about liquid feeling in head though, don't think so.

Hi there Neighbor!

Yes, I got the sharp, ice pick kind of pains...mine would start at the base of my cranium (occiputal area) and radiate up half way up my head all the way around.

It was babesia that was causing mine. When I treated with Mepron/Zith. they went away and haven't been back since...knocking on wood.

Take care and hope you shake them soon.
