I found this on the web while looking for something else. Just wondered if anyone has tried this "internal cleaning" of the digestive tract? It looks all natural.

We have done a number of hydro colonics
(by a licensed therapist) and it is one of the most beneficial therapies. - Just like changing the oil in your car - it runs a lot better!!!

Take care.

Lymph drainages are also most important if you want to get well.

Parasites are a different issue. They can be anywhere in the body.

Gigi,

Was your colonics a one day deal. This looks like it takes 2 months.

Hiker, here is a good explanation of hydro colon therapy. Emphasis is on what is referred to as "liver dumps" while being treated. It avoids liver and gallbladder problems and to keep the organs functioning the way they should. Only when they break down and can no longer cope with the toxins, to we not feel good, have pain, and are stalled on our way to health.

I know it is again an expense, but so is staying sick, and I have found no better way to accomplish what a colonic does.

Almost every time I called my doctor in panic because I did not feel good, the answer was "go have a colonic and make sure your lymph is moving".

When you finally get around to doing it, and watch it happening with your own eyes, you will surely realize why you feel the way you do................................

Take care.

Hiker, the link you gave looks like an ongoing program one can follow. You eat only certain things at certain times and then add certain remedies as prescribed in a protocol. Many are done for weeks and do work fine. We did a program, luckily before I got bit, with Arise & Shine, and Dr. K. has always pointed out that having done that program saved me from being even more sick than I was. I was dying as it was.

There are many different treatments of that nature. Just make sure that you are tested for the herbals, etc.; some people are not compatible with some of the stuff used.

The colonics are quicker, but should be repeated several times - like 1-2 a week at the outset when you are still very toxic, and then whenever you feel like it's time to have one. You learn to tell the difference soon, I think.

Hiker,

I must admit that I'm up for some alternatives, but that this one--for some reason, makes me nauseous thinking about it.

Maybe it's the yeast making me nauseous. Anyway, I have been doing the yeast free balancing act and I definitely have felt some changes.

I would have never thought of going to a chiropractor until last year's pain either... so you never know.

Do what you need to do. Glad Gigi could help

GiGi,

with colonics do you notice a need to replace beneficial bacteria?

I've done 2 colonics and both times they completely wiped me out for a week (extreme fatigue)

colonix and colonics are 2 different things.

Colonix is a psyllium powdercolon cleansing program, kinda like metamucil, but they add all kinds of important goodies to help bring your GI tract into a healthy balance. It's kinda pricey, but it provides a thorough colon cleanse.

Colonics are more of a bowel irrigation process. They are awesome if you can afford them. If you can't, check out colema boards. They are a great do-it-yourself option.
