I've started taking milk thistle recently. It says on the bottle to take it preferably with a meal so I've been taking it along with my abx.

Is this ok or should I take it with my probiotics before I go to bed?

Hey city...

I take milk thistle with antibiotics.
My doc never told me not to.

And.. I have not heard you can't do it.

I know others who also do the same.

Hope that helps! Glad to hear you are taking it!!!

I am not a doctor... but I HAVE eaten a few ducks here and there.

Milk thistle is supposed to be good for the liver, it protects the liver and prevents the abx from damaging the liver. If you're on treatment for quite some time, you want to make sure that you don't have liver damage. Can be dangerous. abx can very much have an affect. Yes, it can be taken with supplements: acidophilus, CoQ10, Vitamins, calcuim, and other probiotics.

you can take it with abx too.
I don't think it really matters if you take it on an empty stomach. It's basically a supplement for your liver.

No Milk thistle with Mepron .... this is according to Dr. S in DC.

He said to take it 6 hrs before or after Mepron.

I think it is ok with other abx, but I am not a doc.
