10 days is often not enough to rid your body of the Lyme. If you have Lupus, your immune system is already overworked. I would assume your body is even more likely to react strongly to the Lyme, which may make it worse.

Does it say that a bull's eye rash is diagnostic for lyme?

Does it recommend 6 weeks of doxycycline at 300-600 mg per day?

I have read that the rash will fade regardless of treatment.

Your Lupus diagnosis could possibly be incorrect. Lyme disease is often misdiagnosed as lupus. (I had a rheumy try to diagnose me with lupus).

You would be better off getting to a doctor who has experience diagnosing and treating Lyme disease and its associated infections.

If you would like the name of a local doc, you can e-mail me. We don't post doctor's info. on this site. I wouldn't recommend her for late stage lyme but she would be a lot more knowledgeable than a rheumie, for your position.
