Well my first day on Biaxin/levoquin was ....

interesting to say the least but not horrid.

The Biaxin leaves my mouth with a metallic

taste in it and that is NASTY. I hope it does

not make my breath smell bad lol.

THen last night I had a dream for the first

time in a LONG LONG time and it was very

scarey for me. Now this morning it seems

silly but last night I woke up my poor

husband.

Dream:
SOmeone tried to get into our house so my

husband went outside to check and all of a

sudden my whole house started rolling very

fast and it was racing down hill! I was

trying to get to my kids and could not get

out of bed.

I was very upset when I woke up.

Interesting that I would start to dream

again.

Oh and my hands kept going numb.

And my temp has remained between 99.7-100.0

I guess we have made a few critters very

unhappy.

I wonder what they will do next.

I work as an admin in pharmaceutics and asked an employee whose company made the biaxin.

Yes it'll taste like a penny. The taste means its' focusing where it's meant to fight the bacteria through the sinus'. I believe it's sinus infection that is one of it's primary use.

Nightmares were my problem for a while then

Lyrics For:

"If I Only Had The Nerve"

Sung By: The Cowardly Lion

Life is sad, believe me Missy,
When you're born to be a sissy
Without the vim and verve.

But I could change my habits,
Nevermore be scared of rabbits
If I only had the nerve.

I'm afraid there's no denyin'
I'm just a dandylion
A fate I don't deserve.

But I could show my prowess,
Be a lion not a mowess
If I only had the nerve.

Oh, I'd be in my stride, a king down to the core
Oh, I'd roar the way I never roared before
And then I'd rrrwoof
And roar some more.

I would show the dinosaurus
Who's king around the fores'
A king they'd better serve.

Why with my regal beezer,
I could be another Caesar
If I only had the nerve.

Life is sad, believe me Missy,
When you're born to be a sissy
Without the vim and verve.

But I could change my habits,
Nevermore be scared of rabbits
If I only had the nerve.

I'm afraid there's no denyin'
I'm just a dandylion
A fate I don't deserve.

But I could show my prowess,
Be a lion not a mowess
If I only had the nerve.

Oh, I'd be in my stride, a king down to the core
Oh, I'd roar the way I never roared before
And then I'd rrrwoof
And roar some more.

I would show the dinosaurus
Who's king around the fores'
A king they'd better serve.

Why with my regal beezer,
I could be another Caesar
If I only had the nerve.

Life is sad, believe me Missy,
When you're born to be a sissy

Sounds like you are treating bartonella. I had the same metal taste with biaxin and am now having it with levaquin. Me thinks bart must just leave a bad taste in the mouth

For a long time while herxing on the quin's (tequin, levaquin, plaquinel, etc.) I would have such vivid dreams that I would think they really happened.

I dreamt without details of dreamland that I ran someone over...that next morning I checked my car. It can be a real problem to dream/hallucinate, scary as hell. But hang in there, you are not in Kansas anymore.

Prior to my Lyme dx I was given Vioxx for wrist pain. I had an anxiety dream every night while on Vioxx. My brain was probably trying to tell me something...

Anyway, most days I'd wake up exhausted and anxious. But I always looked forward to the nights I had a dream that I was fighting vampires with Buffy! At least it was fun anxiety then, with a good plot.

I knew you were on Biaxin from our title, w/out even checking the thread. Metallic taste and nightmares were side effects for everyone in my fmamily who took it. But it was worth sticking with and quite helpful.

Hi Pattie,

Yes Biaxin really tastes awful. I drink alot of water to get rid of the taste.

I can't stand waking up in the middle of the night with that taste. I drink a bottle of water during the nite too.

I had a doctor tell me that chocolate would get rid of the taste in your tongue. I don't advise it. Sugar is bad news.

As for horrid nitemares I didn't get those until I started Mepron.
