I'm trying to take a two fold approach here. I'm on Rocephin and am trying to fine tune the immune system. I recently visited a nutritionist who put me on something called Arabinex. Apparently it's a fairly high powered immune booster. A friend of mine has been looking into something called Transfer Factor. Nurses that he knows have told him it's amazing. Has anyone tried either of these?

We have had great success with AHCC or Immpower. It is a maitake/reishi mushroom extract available at the following website. There has been a tremendous amount of research done on it with extremely positive results. Here is a site with published research: http://www.ahccpublishedresearch.com/default.htm I've been getting it at either www.betterhealthinternational.com or www.fubao.bigstep.com You should also take a look at Biomune - lots of research on that, as well. Both of these products have done wonders for my son (who started out with a NK cell count of 10!).

If I may ask, what is your sons killer white blood cell count at at the current moment? Do you mean the CD57 taken at LabCorp? This is also what I'm trying to boost. Mine is at 30.

I don't remember the number nor the name of the lab. Blood was drawn locally and sent away- the test was for natural killer cell function/activity. I'll try to locate his current count. His health, though has been great. EBV is gone, energy level is back, cognition dramatically improved, doing karate again...!
