"Dr. Mattman stated that if streptococcus is present, it must be treated first before the Lyme is treated because Borrelia feeds on strep.

In other words, the strep stimulates the growth of Borrelia.

Furthermore, it is impossible to culture Borrelia whenever strep is present because strep is a faster growing bacterium and it will overgrow the culture medium as a 'contaminate', obscuring the presence of Borrelia.

Marnie, a few months ago I treated myself for strep with my rife machine. The very first rife session, five minutes into it and all h#$@ broke loose on my one and only root canal. I have never had any problems with this root canal. That I was aware of.

It throbbed continually during treatments. It was painful for about 3 sessions and finally calmed down.

I found this very interesting. Definite improvement in overall health from addressing strep. One dead super bug down, how many more to go!!!!!!

Take care, Pam

Marnie,

I find this post absolutely fascinating and it explains a lot in my case.

Six months into my Lyme treatment my llmd decided to test my for strep for some reason. I was a very high positive. She treated me (can't remember the abx). I also had my tonsils out at her recommendation.

Afterwards she began intense treatment of the strep, which did finally fall back into acceptable range after 9 months of treatment. In the meantime, I tested positive for Babesia and began treatment for that (March '05). She re-tested for strep again in June and it was back way up again. That's when I started the Amoxi.

I'm currently on Ketek, Plaquenil, Mepron and 3000mg Amoxicillin a day (for the strep).

She had told me she believes that somehow the strep and Lyme (and possibly the babs, too) feed off of each other, but your post really backs up this theory.

Thanks for posting this link to my puzzle!!
Maybe this is what's holding me back from recovery...I can't help but get a little excited now, can I???

Jen

Hi Marnie!

Thanks!! Yes this backs up what has gone on in our family for many years.....makes sense for sure.....

I think the same may be true for candida. My reasong is this....we had severe candida for years BEFORE ever taking any ABX and the candida actually improved once we got on ABX for Lyme treatment. Too weird!!

Healing smiles.....lightfoot

Hi Marnie,

Could have specific wording about what your posts are about please?

example: "Dr. Lida Mattman & streptococcus"

You have very interesting posts, but I'd just like to know what it is you will be talking about in the post when I am rushed for time. Thanks for your consideration Marnie.

Man this thread & Marnie's links have got me going. I think I'll go back to doing rife for strep again. I can't help but wonder, if one little strep guy wasn't killed, would the strep then continue to divide and multiply again?

If we only knew all these super bugs we're dealing with!!!!! I did have one of my muscle testing docs tell me I had strep in my heart. She said when you have strep affecting the heart you are one sick puppy.

What a seek & find.

Pam

Does anyone know what "encapsulated" strep is? It says in the article that clindamycin is most effective for "encapsulated" strep.

It almost shouldn't be called Lyme anymore in many cases.

"Infectious Soup" might be a better title..

I'm sure we'd get allot of respect from the 'establishment' with that name, lol..

Or how bout just "Cootie-itis" ?

Or "Ignoramous Establishment Induced Systematic Infestacious- Immuneodeficiency-Tocicity Syndrome"

Wanted to bump this.

One of my 10 yog just had her tests redone after 6mths of zith and flagyl.

Her ASO is higher, cd57 is lower, and WB IgG & IgM is the same - with 3 new bites.

Overall she is sicker.

This explains a lot in my case. I was infected 18 years ago and managed, for the most part, to keep the upper hand in terms of symptoms until I contracted strep throat 4 times in 3 months in 2004.

Several months later the keets took over my body until a year later I had about 80% of the symptoms of lyme disease. I have always instinctively know that the strep had something to do with it but I was thinking it was because my immune system was so depressed after repeatedly being sick.

I missed this thread on the first go-around. Just wanted to add here what Dr. K. says about the connection with the world of microorganisms.

Microorganisms bind the highest amounts of metals, and the microorganisms that clearly have the fabulous property of binding multiples of its own body weight in toxic metals is the algae chlorella, followed by Strep.

"Microorganisms that bind toxic metals are: #1 Chlorella. #2. Candida species. #3. Streptococci. #4. Staph Bacteria. Etc. etc.

When people have heavy metal toxicity, the immune system allows, cultivates, grooms foreign bugs in us; allows them to grow, with the intent that the microorganisms now bind the metals which otherwise would destroy the human cells, the human cells being highly evolved and highly vulnerable.

There is a direct relationship between the amount of microbes that live in us and the amount of toxic metals.

The microbes have a metal binding capacity that we often underestimate. The microbes primarily are our friends; they are not our foes."

"Our foe is what we have done to our environment - our food supply, our water supply, our air, amalgam fillings, and with that comes the changed inner environment that asks for the microbes and the chronic infections that we all have now. If you put mercury in the connective tissue, that means that microbes are going to be growing there. As soon as the microbes are there, there is going to be an immune system activity, which has been misunderstood as autoimmune diseases."

"There is a growing link between autoimmune diseases and heavy metal toxicity. You cannot make the inner environment toxic without growing microbes in you."

He calls it our eco-system consisting of all the critters that infect us and the environmental toxins we are absorbing.

All of them have to be addressed. Wiping out one -- others take over. They are very competitive. Cleaning up the body and keeping it as clean as possible is the only way we can have a life without pain. There is simply no other way.

Take care.

P.S. Dr. K. admires Lida Mattman.
