I'm on Biaxin, plaquenil, bactrim, artiminsinin, mepron, valtrex, diflucan and a ton of vitimins, minerals, auto immune booster, probiotics, detox colon cleansers and acidophilis.

Once my Babesia treatment is done ( so far on third month) I think I'm going to see if I can have a week off of everything and try to detox. I feel so toxic. When I shower I still feel dirty, like my skin & hair can't be cleaned. It's probably physcological........ ha!

Does anyone else feel like this?
Heather

Heather:

Beautiful picture.

I am wondering why you would wait to finish your Babs treatment to detox? Is there a reason that you do not want to do this now?

I've read that milk thistle and pau de arco interfere with the mepron.

I do occasionally take them but 2 hours away from the mepron.

Its funny you should mention that ...for 2 years I have had a horrible rash from lyme/bart and it was all over my body. Itchy from h--L! and wept. No matter how clean I got with 2 showers a day I still felt dirty because my skin was so terrible ugly.

It is almost gone now with treatment and Im bloated and tired from ABX and would love to do some detox/cleanses but Im not sure if it would interfere with meds. I like herbal cleanses.

Hi Heather:

There are a number of detox options. You might want to ask your doctor for those which do not interfere with your medication.

Hi heather
I know how you feel--
I have used a Bath cleanse that
works very well its called
--Batherpy-- from Para Laboritories
you can find it on the net.
--Get the original--

It has a lot of Eucalyptus in it--
Use in hot bath-soak till you prune-
You will come out squeeky clean
and it helps your breathing too--

If you want to do a full body
internal cleanse-- a good one is
--Ultimate Cleanse-- from
from-- Natures Secret--
It works Very well and can
be found on the net for about--$17 --

I wrote a post about it-- 8 pages
back you should read-

Hope this helps --Jay--

Are you really taking all of that at once? I'd be ready to detox too! YIKES!

Sometimes my hands feel dirty....and I think it's just that they are dry. [because sometimes I'll think that and then realize that i had just washed them maybe 30 min before] I use some lotion and then it feels OK!

and no, I don't have OCD!

I find that exfoliating products really help with this. I use a Buf Puf every day in the shower on my face, neck, and upper body, and use a salt or sugar scrub once a week all over. Also use an exfoliating scrub on face and neck several nights a week.

I have to use a deodorant soap these days -- aromatherapy or luxury soaps just don't cut it.

Also,
My hair feels so toxic and burned from the toxins that washing it doesn't make it feel any fresher or cleaner. It's sticky and tangly and people think that i don't brush it when i do a lot , but the toxins make it goowy and growse. No matter how many times i shower or bath, I also feel that I'm not any cleaner and it's not just psychological.I know that technically I am, but there's still a nasty toxic infection in me and bathing never makes me feel better!
this sucks!

lynliz,

I don't have it as bad as you, but since I had a bad herx in April, when it's hot my skin feels sticky and stiff, and I have to wear deoderant, which I rarely had to do before.

Several posters here use EM, efficient microbes by www.SCDworld.com Hope I have that right. It is awesome for the gut and a side-benefit is that it takes care of body odor!!!

OH and forgot to ask an important question:
Does anyone feel that bartonella is highly toxic in the later stages? I suspect I may have it apart from lyme only for the reason that I don't believe that lyme can possibly be THAT toxic!!!
Anyone have any suggestions? It's not from the meds thoug, I've had this enormous toxicity in me even before I started any abx. It feels like I'm suffocating from the toxins and my hair burns and is stiff , tangly and painful afterwards? Anyone have any suggestions?
thanx

I need to detox every day to stay on meds: saunas to sweat, milkthistle, chorella, ox bile and other things for liver, gall bladder and kidneys. Also do coffee enemas to draw out toxins from liver. Epsem salt, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide baths to balance the PH

Also important I think is trying to keep PH near normal. Get PH tape at health food store and check in morning. Antibiotics make you very acidic (not good), so must combat this with green vegetables and green supplements. Look up alkaline foods to eat. Ph levels tell a lot.

I crave spinach and broccoli all the time when I am on antibiotics because I need the alkaline affects. I eat pounds of both.

Your body will help you know what you need except for the devil yeast which will fool you into thinking you need sugar or carbs, that is the devil talking!

Thanks everyone,

Lymelady........ sounds like you do the healthiest things possible. I'm going to try out some of your detox methods.

Lynliz,
Wow. Don't know what to say.

I had a problem w/ my head constantly being really disgusting greasy and finally my regular Doctor suggested I use Selson Blue medicated shampoo.

It's not blue it's ugly ugly green. Any way it worked. I used it every day for a week. Dries out your hair a little.... Then I was using it every other day. Then 2x a wk. Then 1x a week. Now I rarely use it. I feel like I killed greasy head disease.

Now about deodarant. I went through about 20 different deodarnats before I found out that soft and dry spray works for me. Also I had to cut out the garlic pills everyday.

I used to take showers at nite and go to bed clean w/ my clean sheets. Now I have to take showers in the morning becuase I'm not fresh. I look dirty and greasy.

Lyme Blows,
Heather

Absolutly yes on the body odor; whew!!! I think what that is is toxins coming out of you. Wipe your armpits with hydrogen peroxide, gets rid of toxins and smell.

It is a different kind of smell than I had ever experienced.

I stay away of deorderant (I am also homebound) due to aluminim. Lots of detox helps odor.

Yea sometimes I feel like I smell like wet clay. It is a very strange smell. It gets way worse on the garlic pills.

Lymelady,

Deodorant doesn't have any aluminum. It's the anti-perspirants that do.

Another thing that helps me feel clean is tea tree shampoo, which I also use as soap.
