Heya everyone hope your all having a good day today...
I just had a question on muscle weakness.
On friday i went out with to a friends party and usually at night i get fibro symptoms for some reason..it feels like ive gotten hit by a truck, thats my best way of describing it.
It hurts so bad that it hurts to breathe. well i stayed out at someones house that night and i was in so much pain all over that i had to take a percoset.
The next day i was so exhausted and my muscles were really weak...later in the day i had to take a nap because i was soo soo tired. (i could have slept the whole day, which is usually what i do the day after going out)
When i woke up from my nap i was very naseous and had really bad chills, i don't know why.
Now this morning i woke up and i have the horrible muscle weakness and a frozen shoulder...
Why does this happen? im just a 19 year old girl and all i want to do is be able to go out and have some fun and then i have to pay for it for 2 days afterwords...this really sucks..
Does this happen to anyone else?

I think muscle weakness is pretty common, especially if you are unable to exercise as much as you would like to or used to.
I try to work-out every day. Some days it is just yoga stretches and some days I can run 3 miles. I am usually weak or sore the next day. I recently went to the gym and lifted weights that were 5 pounds heavier than what I have been doing. After, my muscles were so weak they tremored and spasmed. So, I don't think what you are experiencing is unusual for someone with Lyme.
What does concern me is that you are having chills and nausea. Have you been tested for any co-infections? I have chills, fever, nausea & dizziness from Babesiosis. No Lyme treatment could touch that. Going on meds for Babesiosis is what helped for that.
It's just something to consider.
Back to muscle weakness, you might try doing low-impact exercise every day just to keep your muscles toned. This will help greatly. Yoga is very good for this.
Take care.

Yep. Sometimes it feels like someone suddenly "pulled the plug" on me, and I feel all the energy just drain out. Sudden weakness / exhaustion. Same as you, I often feel that I could sleep a whole day. I agree with beachcomber. Try to exercise regularly, even if it is just a little bit each day, because I do notice that I have more energy when I do. Feel better.

Korinne,
Chills, muscle weakness, shoulder pain and air hunger are all symptoms of babesia. Have you been tested for that?
Dealing with all of this does suck. If you happen to be drinking alcohol when you are out, that can make Lyme symptoms much worse the following day. And drink plenty of water when you are out. Keeping hydrated can reduce some of the muscle pain.
