I've been on a new abx protocol for the past four months, which includes heavy treatment for Lyme, babs and bart at the same time. Although I've been regularly posting the abx combination, since it's helped a lot so far, I've also been getting a lot of flares because of my (new) work and exercise schedule.

I went to the doctor's office today (not an LLMD, but a concerned friend to Lyme patients) to request IV and just get the whole thing over with.

He disagreed, and said that my case was actually doing very well, and that I would probably be at 85% in six months. At which time, the co-infections will probably be all gone as well. At that point, if I am still very sick, we'll see.

So it seems that this intense abx combination is okay. The benefits: I work seven days a week, and can handle about 40% of a normal workload in my profession. I can recall the names of approximately 50% of the celebrities in People Magazine (no amount of Lyme can erase Angelina and Brad at this point). I can also jog 4-5 days per week, although this does cause relapses sometimes. And the babs and bart are almost gone, although I've been on the babs treatment for nine months now.

But remember, this is just my experience. I'm not a doctor, and am sharing this as a starting point for people comparing notes on abx protocols.

Hi Liz,

I am glad you are doing better, and I know how you feel. Sometimes I want to get the whole thing over with too.
Hang in there.
