Is anyone taking Avelox 400mg?

This is a new pill for me. I stopped taking Ketek and now my LLMD put me on this.

I would hope after spending $ 325.00 for 30 pills would do something besides end up in my garbage can like the rest of the antibiotics I've tryed. (ha!)

One of the side effects reads: TENDON PAIN, JOINT PAIN OR SWELLING MAY ACCURE. Sounds like a bad idea for all of us who have lyme!!!!

Has this drug helped anyone? Any luck or improvements with this med?

Thanks!!!!

I dont know how long you have been on any given abx But you have to give each one time to work and sometimes 1 or 2 months are not enough also try being on 2 different types of abx at one time.

You want tendon pain try levaquin owl!

Avelox stomped my achilles tendons, permanently apparently. This doesn't happen to everyone though.

Pay close attention. Anything that seems like tendon pain might be a warning to quit. I ignored the first warning. Sorry now.

Avelox (moxifloxacin) is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic. It does not treat lyme disease just like Cipro and Levaquin don't. Are you co-infected with either bartonella or mycoplasma?

Mathias - you might be interested to know that my mycoplasma pcr from MDL recently came back negative. Having a hard time believing it is gone. Figured this was one that would hang on forever, just about. What do you think? (Sorry to highjack this thread.)
