Who is the BEST LLMD in NY or CT? I am getting such mixed reviews from my posts that I honestly don't know who to make an appointment with. I want someone that is:

-willing to listen
-offers detox advice
-returns calls in a timely manner in case there is a problem with the medicine
-Deals with Coinfections
-Does clinical diagnosis in case the blood test comes back negative.

PLEASE EMAIL ME!!! I am hearing alot of good about Dr. L in NY...I know he is expensive, but is he the best???

Well, I would think that Dr. B would be the best. He's the one who wrote the guidelines that everyone else follows.

I don't know if he still sees patients? Maybe someone else can answer that.

He's in Long Island.

Does Dr. B go by clinical for his diagnosis? Does he treat co-infections?

There are doctors in Rhinebeck who treat children and adults. I know Janet Thomas has been a patient this summer.

You could check their site. They use both alternative and traditional (guideline) treatments.

Dr. L. in NY is terrific. Been my guy (now long distance) since 1990. Not too into the alternative stuff, BUT I must admit its not something I ask him about...

Middle of the road approach. Is sure to rule out other possible illnesses, has EXCELLENT specialists that he makes referals too, and yup, costs a butt load (but does take insurance I believe although not medicare).

Dr B in NY (but there are 3 that I know of).

Dr B on L*** I***** is accepting new patients. You must send his office a letter from your PCP stating that the PCP is your PCP and will remain your PCP.

I typed one up for my PCP to sign, which he did.

I have an appt on L*** I***** in October- not that I am at all uneasy with the treatment I receive in R********. I just want another perspective.

Dr L has also been at this for a good while, I just don't know much about him.

Isn't Dr H of Hyde Park, NY suppose to be one of the best also in that area?

I've had great luck with Dr. M--- in N-- Y---, who was referred by Dr. F-----, who I've never seen but is a resident doctor at my alma mater. You can call the Columbia University chronic Lyme clinic to ask for advice. They aren't always there, but when you reach them, they can be very helpful.

Some of the doctors you mentioned have great reputations, they are just too expensive for me. And I like Dr. M so far! Since you said you have bartonella, have you tried Dr. E? And in CT, you have Dr. P, and then there's JT's Dr. B in NY. There's a ton of doctors in these woods.

My brother just made an appt with Dr H. Took a few weeks, but he is going in August. Paid a lot up front.

So, he is good, isn't he? I think the appt is with the PA.

I have Dr. L and I really like him. He does not do much with supplements or detox. Dr. H is very big on that.
