I can't believe how ignorant I've been. We've been dealing with my son's lyme symptoms since January and just today logged on to, "medical questions". Rereading everyone's posts answered about 5 questions I had in my head at that moment. I've gotten so much help over in "general support", and now I'm so grateful for all the specific information over here.
My son's lyme symptoms are dormant right now (except for some upper-respitory stuff). He's taking cats claw, artimisinin and ultra flora. He's going to go on a strong course of anti-biotics this fall. Will treatment be effective if his symptoms are at bay? Any thoughts? Thanks

Why are you waiting, if I may ask?

Well, I'm pretty sure the reasoning is this: Our son is feeling well, and he's been on a lot of antibiotics this winter. Our llmd said he wanted to give our son's stomach a break. He was on Doxy for 30 days and he had incredible improvement afterward, but he was very nauseous and would throw up at school. Our son's test came back positive for lyme even after his doxy treatment though, so we're pretty certain he's not out of the woods. Thanks for your response.
