I did that many yrs ago-sure, fresh wheat grass juice is a powerhouse of enzymes and vitamins. Try to get organic seed.

Robi, I have friends that swear by it...they got my husband excited about it...he grew a tray of it... cut some and put it in the juicer and I RAN! It was a little too green for me! Maybe if I could disguise it! It was around Easter, so I took the tray and put easter eggs in it and used it for a centerpiece! My husband is ready to plant another tray as someone just gave him the wheat grass recipe book! Oh dear...Good luck and good health! Betsy

Thanks Janet and Betsy!
I have heard it is good for th immune system ang mny other things. I am not doing well right now and looking at ll options .... even the green ones.....
I personally haven't grown my own but have a good friend who owns a health food store and lets me have the wheatgrass shots for free. Of course I'm doing work for her as a trade.
When I do the wg shots I seem to feel a whole lot better and stronger. Her store is out of my way so I don't always go as often as I should.
Try it and see what happens. Have you tried a google search to research results of wg?

This is very interesting. Do you grow it out in the garden, and juice it in a regular vegetable juicer? Any sites on the web you can point me to that give some wheatgrass info? We drift in and out of juicing...
I'm feeling lousy, too. Will be putting out an update this week, I hope. Go to www.juiceplus.com and read their research. I am taking their gummies at Dr. C's request. I haven't been able to read it yet, but she says it is impressive. Maybe that will help. At least they taste good. $22/month 6 fruit and 6 veggies/day. I am taking 4 of each to make them last longer.
Good luck. I think about you a lot.

I grow it in short wide mouth jars with a sprouting lid. It only takes a few days. I have grown it from the wheat berries. I cut it and toss it into a salad.
You can also buy it frozen in individual servings.
Can't say I'm wild about the taste so, I mix it with other juices.
I grow all my own sprouts. The ones from the store often seem damp and moldy on the bottom and don't keep all that well. It is so easy to sprout seeds and beans. Try it.

Wheat grass if really good for you. It is especially good for us Lymies because anyone with chronic illness is most likely over-acidic and grass juices, green drinks, chlorophyll are very alkalizing. Look at book "The pH Miracle" very informative. I don't make my own wheat grass. I have gotten the frozen stuff, I drink chlorophyll regularly I also like "Barley Life" from AIM. YOu can get it online. www.theaimcompanies.com I hadn't used mine in a while because I was doing some changes in my diet and had just forgotten to take it. One day recently I was feeling really weak and tired. I wasn't up to cooking anything just then and I didn't want to just eat junk (I have really started cleaning up my diet and just the improvements motivate me to stay away from the junk food. Anyway, I remembered my Barley Life (a powdered barley grass drink). I drank a glass with their carrot and beet powder, I think it is called the Garden Trio if you order it, within just a short period of time, I felt so much better! I drink it regularly now, at least once a day. Hope you feel better. Hang in there.
