Hey trout...!

The dose for me was 800mg of Ketek and 2 tsp of mepron. Ketek was 800 mg at once and the mepron 1 tsp on the am -with greasy food- and another tsp on the pm with more greasy food.

I never did the ramping; I started full dose since day 1 and the headaches/dizzines were out of this world for the first 3 weeks; then things got somehow...... better.

Take care,
Lymster

forgot to tell you that I am not SOLD on Ketek at all; as a matter of fact I think the zithromax kicks butt better.

Just my opinion after all my adventures on Lymeland.

Daughter was on 800mg Ketek once a day and one TSP twice a day Mepron, she didn't ramp up either, just went for it all at once. She got a HUGE headache about the 3rd or 4th

day into the Mepron and it has never gone away. She was on Mepron for about 2 months and now is off of it trying to get rid of the never ending headache. LLMD put her on Plaquenil in place of the Mepron.....

Good luck!!

I did Mepron 1 tsp in the AM and i tsp in the PM. 800mg of ketek all at once in the AM. No ramping. Was so sick at the time I just don't know hat the immeadiate effect was. I did mepron for months. I am still on the ketek.

Only did Zith for 2 weeks so cn't really compare to the etekas I wasn't onlong enough.

All in all I am improving, although the last several weeks have been hard.

Hope the mepron works for you. Areyou taking Artemisinin with it?

I have been treating Babs since this past winter...Mepron 2 tsp, Zithromax...500mg and then just bumped it to 750mg recently...oy.

Arte....not yet...next week...I am trying to balance the finance burden of of everything a little better....so choices get made....things get sacrificed.

I am on the fence about ketek...I was doing really good...candida has come up andd hit me hard.

Thanks for the replies.

Hi Trout
i took 400mgX 2 daily with Mepron then was on Ketek only...it did seem to help my symptoms...but then I got candida overgrowth and then a possible allergic reaction - red itchy hives all over. So no more Ketek for me!

I didn't ramp it up but did get an ECG to make sure my heart QT interval was normal as advised by my LLMD

I did 8 months of Zith + Mepron w/ a pos Babs test after "finishing"! I had been treated on a "hunch"!

This doc started me on 1 tsp Mepron BID and only 400 mg Ketek (not sure why).

When I did the Zith/Mepron I "ramped" up!

When I started w/ the Ketek, I took it alone for 5 days then added 1 dose of Mepron for 3 days and then to full dose!

I ALWAYS do my meds that way and it seems to help me!

Daughter child has been on Ketek (800 mg) for a year and in March, Dr. J started her on Plaquenil w/ it.

We've both responded to this med as good or better than any others!

I've been on all kinds of IVs and many different oral meds since 1999 - still SICK!!! But, better than before!

Katie has been in treatment since 2002. She is doing some better too!

Hope this helps!

Sherry

re: yeast - we both take Acidopholis and ADP (Oil of Oregano) - seems to help!

I'll chime in.

For me zithro didn't do much, ketek was better but ketek and bicillin now seems to be making a noticeable improvement.

Hey gang, where's the artemisinin ?
I swear by that stuff but only in combo with zith/mep, or zith/plaquenil, or zith/malarone, etc.

My son did 3 months of babs treatment off and on [pulsed 3 weeks on, 1 week off]. Did zith/mep/art the first time. The next two times he did zith/plaq/art. Hasn't exhibited babs symptoms in months. He pulsed the mep/plaq/art only, not the zith.
