I have an appt with an LLMD on Saturday in CT. Why am I starting to doubt myself and think this is all in my head and not Lyme? I am so nervous after blacking out, still don't know why, to start antibiotics. Maybe it was heartblock??? My EKG was fine, but they only look at your heart for a minute. These episodes happened when I was on Amoxicillan or Bactrim. What if the antibiotics is making it worse and I die?
My PCP says since I had an echo and holter monitor in December things are fine. But I really want to have them repeated. I am going to call and insist on them. I have different insurance since they were last tested so it's not like the insurance will know I am having them done again.

Don't worry, I have gone through the wondering, and the what if's. If it wasn't for my s.o. telling me it's real, I don't know what I would do!
After five years, I asked my llmd are you sure I'm positive by c.d.c. standards?
This disease is so overwhelming, not just with physicals symptoms, but the mental ones too! My s.o. has to go with me to my office visits, and I did test positive after a few months of antibiotics. Two other tests before that were neg.
I have the brain lesions and spect. were neg. at one time. I also wore the holter monitor, but it was all anxiety brought on by this disease!
You will get through it, that's why we're all here for each other. Hang in there! I know...easier said than done!
I know that heart block can be seen in LD patients. So I am wondering about that. An EKG for a minute can miss that so they wouldn't even know. And then maybe it would show up in a holter monitor or echocardiogram.
I am just petrified to start an antibiotic and then have this happen again (seems to happen when I am on abx) and not come to again.
When I "black out" I don't know how long for. My husband says I haven't seen you black out. Yah well that's because he's asleep on the couch. So I don't know what they are and I am scared.
When I do come around things seems really foggy like everyone is kinda far away and it takes me about 2-3 minutes to really focus and realize where I am.
I am waiting for PCP's office to call back. I am insisting on the holter monitor and echo to be done. It's been 8 months since I had it done and things have gotten stranger and different things happening. So I can't see why he wouldn't want to cover his butt.

I get the holter monitor on Monday for 24 hours, though it takes 3 weeks to get the results. And then they couldn't schedule an echocardiogram until 10/4 because they are short staffed on the technicians. They are trying to get more in so they said to keep calling to see if there is one sooner. I will call daily.
My EEG isn't until 8/29...calling the neurologist in the morning to get my appt. My PCP talked to him yesterday so I should get in sooner then late September.
I am glad I am getting all these tests done to rule anything out, however I see the LLMD on Saturday and will be starting the abx probably. I am scared and keep praying it all works out.
