I have an appointment with Dr. Jones for my daughter and they sent me a kit for a urine test on my 2 year old daughter. Well the doctor that is treating me uses Igenex. I am just wondering if MDL is an accurate Lab before I send in the urine and scare myself to death. It is great that they take my insurance for the testing but I don't want any false positives or anything and scare myself to death... So any info on this would be great... Thanks, Michelle

I have only used Igenex and Bowen labs. The Bowen's Q-RiBb is somewhat debated due to the high number of positives, no one has been able to show that it is wrong to my knowledge. I would be more concerned about false negatives than false positives. Either way, you can always run another test to provide additional data if you desire.

If the Lyme Pediatrician said MDL for this particular test, you can rest assured he trusts their work.
He doesn't limit his testing to just one lab. Since he has treated thousands of children, he knows the best labs to use.
He's treating my grandson. Wonderful person and wonderful Lyme specialist!!!

My LLMD uses MDL. If it is a urine test, than it is likely a PCR test which looks for the dna of the lyme bacteria. If anything, it is more likely to return a false negative than a false positive.
