just switched from zithro and flagyl to ketek and flagyl, also taking zoloft.
since change have had severe, i mean severe heat intolerance when going outside, not sun but heat.
stopped all meds for a week and didn't clear up so went back on everything.
of course llmd is on vacation, with donny boy, so now i go outside for 30 minutes and my body temp jumps to 103-105 almost instantly.
blood work on thyroid function and liver were normal.
anybody else have this problem????

Man I suffer in the heat and humidity.Ive found running my head under cool water for a minute or so can really bring your body temp down and revive you.

My guess is it's the lyme causing the intolerence... Heat killed me when off any meds & seems to be worse now while on meds.

Another guess is that the spirochete is lodged in the mid-brain area (controls body temp) and is causing the problem. My thyroids are normal too.

I walk around the house almost naked, trust me, it's not a pretty sight!!! But I can't take the heat of clothing.

could it be from the adrenal gland and not the thyroid.
also the pituitary gland has some control also.
could it be an issue of a loss of certain electrolytes from abx or l yme??
i also noticed when i was sick between abx that i also gained 8 pounds in 1 week while being on a diet for 1.5 years, low carb high protein.

Heat intolerance and excessive perspiration were my constant companions. As I was treated, these improved tremendously to the point where they are no longe an issue unless I'm having a herx day (STILL! After two and a half years).

I have always had heat intolerance -- just can stand to be too hot or too cold.

It's much worse since LD. One of my theories is that the high temps start to kill off the spirochetes so it's sort of like a herx.
