I have taken Life Extension Mix for years but tested poorly to it energetically when I just had all of my supplements tested. Doing major revamp of my protocol and interested in comments on other high-potency multis that other Lyme sufferers are using.

Thanks,

Pharmanex. 2x/day. (Packets come in 5 pills -gelatin capsules- per packet). This company will come to your home and using a computer, measure your antioxidant level for FREE. They will retest you in 6 mos. for FREE to PROVE this supp. helps!

If you notice one/more of the pills in the toilet when you poop...you are missing digestive enzymes and may, for the time being, have to add them too.

(Sorry for being graphic.)

Does not contain enough Mg. Mg and Ca are too "bulky" to be added in appropriate doses.

I second the vote for Pharmanex multis. Both my husband and I use them and our antioxidant scores went way up after using it for a couple months. (If you want to find a scanner in your area, drop me an email at [email protected].)

But I agree with Marnie; you need to add extra magnesium. (Which do you like, Marnie?)

Since I sell Pharmanex mostly for the free vitamins, I'm willing to give fellow Lymies the maximum discount I can offer, 20% off. Just enter 20ECOUP in the promo code box at checkout. http://weborders.mypharmanex.com/

For the absolutely lowest price, order as an ADR (monthly order). This way you earn free product after a couple months. Also, their excellent Marine Omega product is only $10 a month if you order it with ADR LifePak.

LifePak + MarineOmega Item #01101868
LifePak Women + MarineOmega #01101869
LifePak Prime + MarineOmega #01101867

BTW, Pharmanex just launched a new antioxidant juice product that looks promising. http://weborders.myfruitfromheaven.com/

************************
LifePak Advantages

There are basically three different grades of raw materials used in products:
* Pharmaceutical Grade - meets pharmaceutical standards
* Food Grade - meets standards set for human consumption
* Feed Grade - meets standards set for animal consumption

The difference between each grade type is one of quality and purity. In technical terms, no substance is 100% pure, for there are always other substances added to various products. The difference between the grades is one of how much of these other substances are present in the product.

There are several criteria by which pharmaceutical grade are judged. The product must be in excess of 99% purity with no binders, fillers, excipients, dyes, or unknown substances.

As part of the Pharmanex quality process, all products and ingredients are tested for pesticide residues, heavy metals, microbes and other contaminants per United States Pharmacopeia (USP) guidelines. As part of Pharmanex's commitment to strive for pharmaceutical-like quality standards, they follow the drug industry's mandatory USP 25 guidelines (section 561) for pesticide residue analysis for articles of botanical origin. In addition, USP requires that drug companies test for levels of 34 pesticide residues. However, since Pharmanex owns a state-of-the-art HPLC machine that has capabilities to test for additional compounds, our chemists test for all 512 known pesticide residues.

Pharmanex vitamins are loosely packed in capsules, so they are better absorbed than the hard-pack, mass-market varieties.

Also, you can measure the difference with Pharmanex vitamins, because of their antioxidant hand scanner. If you take Pharmanex LifePak, and your antioxidant level doesn't go up, you get your money back. If you email me, I can find a scanner in your area.

The best way to save money on the Pharmanex LifePak products:

1. Order LifePak as a repeating monthly order (called ADR), and if you take it for a year, it'll cost you $36 per month, once you redeem all the free product points. (LifePak Prime and LifePak Women have additional specialized ingredients in them, and they cost more, so if you're cost conscious, order the plain LifePak.)

To order by phone call 1-800-487-1000 and give the order-taker this number US0668509.

Step-by-step instructions are located in the lower right corner of my web site: http://weborders.mypharmanex.com/

I'd like more details on the home testing. Does that mean they test, give you a standard product, or do they test and give you a product specialized for your deficiencies? Thanks

Test and give you their standard product.

I use the one formulated for "old people"

Life Pak Prime ;-)

This is what I would take...as far as Mg is concerned:

Mg citrate, 1ml =52mg q 1 hr. sublingual for 8 doses per day. Spacing the doses is really important. Maintaining a level for as many hours a day as possible.

2nd choice: Mg glycinate

Use the largest organ of the body to absorb Mg...Epsom salt baths (4#) with 1# of baking soda in a tub of warm, not hot, water for 25 minutes only. Every evening.

The Pharmanex Life Pak is what Dr. B. recommends in his guidelines. Our holistic dentist also has been recommending this product for years.

It is interesting to me that so many people like this product. When I looked at the ingredients, I would not consider this to be a high-potency supplement. It appears to have lots of things, but not a lot of each thing. My current thought is that there are better products but still doing more research. I like LEF products, but haven't done so well of late with their Mix.
