Anyone on minocycline and if so, for what and how much? I'm not sure what's a herx or what's a side effect Have you seen any improvement? If so, after how long? I know everyone's different. Have you used it for lyme, ehrlichiosis or bart or all 3. After feeling ok (better) for 3 or 4 days, had the most sugar (dessert) that I've had in months. Wondering if candida is making me feel this way on top of it. Take 2 nystatin and laying off the sugar. Stress big time now with my son probably going back on treatment, a move and loss of a family pet. Also, 28 days comes too often and too fast for women. Maybe you might have 3 or 4 days out of the month, before you turn around and it time your hormones are out of whack again.

Thanks - God bless,

Cigi

I am on Mino at 100mg 2 x a day. At first had a lot of head clearing in the form of a freight train. That quite after a few weeks, now I think it just settles the head keets.

This week on tini and getting a lot of sinus stuff. ..... Don't think the mino has to do with that though.

Mino has been a good one for me. Made improvement with it.

Hi cigi! I took mino for about 10 days, didn't notice alot of difference, so I switched to flagyl [oh, joy!]...been taking that for a few days now.

Hopefully, I don't have a real relapse of the Lyme and I can stop the flagyl too. Both the mino and the flagyl seem to make me a bit dizzy and I have the head pressure. That's about all.

LImetoo, you post got me thinking: how long have you had lyme and are you still under treatment?

I have been on abx (along with my gf) for a bit more than 7 months and it just seems like the longest time.. We both still have fluctuating/flare ups of symptomps.

Thanks!

I am on Mino 100mg 2x a day. It is my "backup" abx as i am on Ceftin also.

I started just mino in April and felt real bad all through May. Then June was better and then I was switched to Doxy. Ever since the second week in July I've felt horrible.

I'm with you on the hormone thing. It seem there are about 5 days out of the month that I cannot get any relief from anything.

Back to mino. I really haven't noticed any side effects. Occasionally i will feel a bit dizzy but it does not last for long.

Best of luck on getting better real fast!

I am on Minocycline 300 mg./day for Lyme and Ehrlichiosis. The first 2 weeks were rough with the dizziness and nausea. I've had chronic nausea and it got worse with treatment. The dizziness is a side effect of Mino, I believe, and not a herx.

I've had many herxes since I've been on Minocin. Headaches, knee, back, hip, hand & wrist pain. Almost daily nausea and fatigue.

I'm starting on my third month of treatment and I think I'm starting to feel better. I also started on Amoxicillin 875 mg. 3x/day, so I'm sure that's helping, too.

The Lyme symptoms I've had over the years were so bad and so varied that the hexes I've had seem like a walk in the park.
