Well, I thought I was upward bound but have spiraled downward the last 2 days. I have to listen to the sage ones and not expect everything pronto. Still taking the doxy (9th day)and have another appt with rhumy, neuro and cardiologist this week. Hope to be back to work next month. Anyway anyone know what those vibrating, creepy crawly feelings are in the head? Are they like our muscle twitches only happening in the head? I saw a magnified picture of the wornmlike spirochetes in the gray matter of the brain...I know they aare microscopic but its enough to send shivers down your spine.

Hey I have these and this was my first symptom of lyme i still have this after 18 months of treatment but it is getting better. I know of others that were cured of this symptom within a couple of months of treatment so hangin there you may be one of the lucky ones! Best wishes! Robin

I guess this is what my husband describes as 'tickling' inside his head - sounds just the same as creepy crawlys! It started for him on day 19 of Doxy - unfortunately, he only got a 21 day course so the sensations are still with him a year later. These sensations come and go but a feeling of pressure in his head which appeared at the same time is there constantly. We think the tickling sensation is something to do with altered sensation from the cranial nerves.

For Troutscout - I know he needs additional treatment - but you try getting it in Scotland where there are no LLMDs with two negative ELISA tests. I eventually bypassed his doctors and went straight to the boss of the lab which does the tests. He is the Scottish expert and actually listened to me - they retested with WB and he now has an equivocal result. So now we are awaiting an ID Consultant appointment - fingers crossed for treatment as a result. But the next fight will be the length and strength of that treatment. I reckon the offer will be another 21dys Doxy at 200mg which won't even dent it. Meanwhile, the pain goes on and on and on.

This winter, I had some almost orgasmish "electric shock" type sensations in my head. Those thankfully went away with Omnicef (and, despite the description, they were _not_ fun).

Especially around 10pm, after waking up from my 9pm after-work passing out, I'd be all dizzy and feel something like a 60hz electric hum in my brain. I couldn't hear it, but it was like my head was vibrating. Darn wierd and unpleasant, especially because this was combined with feeling motion sick if I got up and walked anywhere. Ugh - I'm glad that 75% of this stuff is gone even if all symptoms aren't yet cured.
