*********Caution****** Newbies, the following combo of drugs is very potent and I am under the care of a very good LLMD...Do NOT attempt to take these without proper MD Supervision...this combo may literally kill you without proper steps.
All summer I was feeling 'different' seemed to be beating this thing...yet having different types of sypm show up.
I was alway's moody and angry....and as the summer went on I would be more and more sensiotive to light. (THis doesn't include supplements.) I was on: Heparin Bicillin-LA and some CR Mep/Zith Flagyl Diflucan Nystatin
And I always herxed when I took flagyl... I also herxed on Bicillin....inbetween the ears and jaw.
Now...I decided to see if I herxed on the Zith also by itself...so i would take it independently of the others at times....of course you know the result...I herxed.
Well, I was thinking maybe a switch was due...however, I had heavy herxes on alot of things...and, I know I have a resistant strain of Babs..very resistant...so..maybe a different approach was needed for that.
I took this view due to my moodines,so...I added benicar at 20mg 2Xday and then switched from the Zithr to Ketek.
Here's the funny thing...I don't herx each time I take the Ketek...herxed good on nights 3 and 4 and then on day 3 or 4....but since then...nothing...nada.
So....there's where it is.
Just thought I'd let you know.

I didn't have major herxing on Ketek. I was exhausted and cloudy for a few days, that was about it. But after 10 months on Ketek I'm feeling better than ever.
Any chance you aren't herxing because whatever was causing the herx is finally dead? (Good news)
Or any chance that what you thought was herx was actually an allergic reaction? (I know, blasphemy to suggest, but you never know )

I would say the flagyl is partly responsible for your moodiness. I took it for 5-6 days recently and got really funky. Stopped it and bingo, felt fine again.
Yep, maybe you're beating this thing!
------------------ Do not take anything I say as medical advice. I am not a doctor, but I DID stay at a Holiday Inn Express! oops! Lymetutu
Just an idea... Perhaps the introduction of Benicar is reducing your herxes.
I was in a relapse for months, and when my LLMD suggested taking Benicar daily, coupled with pulsing Minocin and Ketek every other day, I saw a huge turn-around in 3 weeks.
My LLMD thought I was in an awful die-off pattern and said that the Benicar would reduce my inflammation, while allowing my immune system to operate more effectively. I was very skeptical at first, but I've really seen improvement.
Healing thoughts, Jewl

Hi trout, Its great to hear! Good protocol you have been on too. I did the same protocol and had excellent results. The flagyl packs a punch and can attribute to the mood swings. You will do great with this! Take lots of acidophilus! Keep up the good fightin'!
