Niki,My hubby did this for a while. It is very expensive as the IV Phosphatidylcholine (Lipostabil is brand name) must be ordered from Switzerland. We never got anywhere near the dose suggested by Dr Kane. The IV glutathione is expensive also.
You would end up spending thousands of dollars for a treatment that does not kill Lyme. It may help with detox and recovery but at this point I don't think you know enough about how your Lyme will respond to antibiotics.
In my opinion, this probably works better as a means of replacing fats in the brain than as an actual method of detoxification. It did lower hubby's cholesterol 30 points in 1 month and lower his GGT (a liver test) to normal.
I think the FDA is cracking down on the importation of the Lipostabil -- in the past it could be ordered with a doctor's prescription and shipped to the patient, but now it can only be shipped to a doctor.
In your case, unless you have had a nutritional test that shows you are deficient in fatty acids I would advise you to try the IV antibiotics first and see what your response is to that before trying the Kane protocol. I don't think it is for everyone.
Dr Kane's bloodwork to test fatty acids is about $500 itself and insurance paid less than $100 on this. Would like to retest hubby, but can't afford it. If we ever strike it rich I would probably do some additional treatments for hubby, but not right now.

The Phoschol is available either as a capsule or a liquid (hubby says it tastes like burnt motor oil). I do think this could be a useful supplement to support liver detox. Depending on liver and gallbladder function you would probably need to start with small doses of one of these supplements and work up. Phoschol can be ordered from the link above.
If you are seriously considering this protocol, email me and we can talk more.
