Well I spoke to Dr J office today and the nurse informed me that austin co infection tests came back negative. They tested him for bartonella and mycoplasa.

His lyme tests still show positive. His IGG showed 5 bands and his IGM showed 6 bands. Now when he was first tested in July his IGG was positive with 5 bands and IGM positive with 2 bands.

So I am relieved that I took him to Dr J and he extended his abx and I didn;t listen to his reg doc to stop the meds.

They still want austin to have the neuropscy testing done but gave me a different doc in CT to see if he can work with the insurance or something else.

Great! You can't rely entirely on testing to tell if you're better, but I know Dr J has things under control. He's awesome!

Now, how's his gall bladder pain coming along?

It's always nice to read good news!!!!!

Hang in there -- if there really are no coinfections that should speed up treatment considerably.

The only thing that worries me it that he was only tested fot two kinds of co infections. Which I thought was bartonella and mycoplasa but i was wrong he was tested for mycoplasa and babesia.

Shouldn't of they tested him for all of them and dr j office used quest??? They also used Igenex but I don't know if Igenex also was used for the co infections as well.

I am going to call Dr J office today and ask if they can fax the results from igenex and quest to me so I can see them.
