Hi ALL

2 days ago I started
Mepron --2 tsp a day--
Biaxin XL-- 2 500 a day--

I woke up this morning and
actually feel perty good--

I got a medium head ache about
three hours after taking first
doses and it lasted till this morning

I also got WB results (Igenx)
Test said I was somewhat positive
for Lyme

Babs test came back mostily negitive--

There is Zero doubt in my mind that
I have Lyme and or Babs--

I had a perfect lyme bruse 20 years
ago on back of my leg and have
been very sick ever sence --
with almost every symptom
on the list--

A little over 2 years ago I
saw a TV show on Lyme and
found a DOC who would give me Doxi

Then I found this site and I upped
my dose to 500 to 600mg aday.

I have been on doxi for about
27 months--Ouch

The doxi has made a huge differance
but it has been up and down--
and I never felt good.

I am still taking Doxi and
am planning to take it for
awhile longer ---

Sure would be nice if this
Good Feeling lasted awhile--
---Jay---

YEAH! I AGREE MEPPY IS GROOOVY!

So happy for you but I have a coment, I am not a doctor but for what I read we suppose to take the mepron with zithro or ketek; anyone knows by sure????? or maybe the biaxin does the same job than zithro or ketek, don't know??????

Please check with the LLMD, YOU DON'T WANT TO WASTE THE PRECIOUS YELLOW PAINT, isn't cheap!!!

I took mepron with zithro for 6 months and then mepron with ketek for 3 months; now I am on malarone.

Take care,

Hi All
I have been feelin perty
good all day--I even did
some of the dishes--Ouch

I sure hear you on mepron being
expencive --Im going to have to
sale my house perty soon to be
able to afford it
But I would rather be sleeping
under the stars feeling good
than being sick--

This time I was Very Lucky and a nice
woman gave me the mepron thru my
doctor because she
did not need it any more--

Biaxin is high dollar too.

What ever it is that is working--
I sure can feel it so far.--Jay--

Yup, back on the Mepron myself. Tried Malarone and had a bad reaction to it - too bad. It was easy to take and a tiny bit less expensive. Had to switch back to Mepron. The stuff is so gross but so helpful.

Hang in there. Enjoy your good days.

Biaxin and zithromax are both in the macrolide class of antibiotics, so maybe they both work with mepron. The reason zith + mepron is touted is that it was the combination used in a study that compared clindamycin + quinine combo with this one. Don't think anyone has studied the alternative macrolides.
