Well LESS THAN one week on his bart meds and my son is doing MUCH MUCH better.

He is no longer angry from morning to nite, he still gets a little angrier than usual if something does not go right but 90% better than last week. THIS IS BIG because he was REALLY angry and difficult.

He is still tuning out on and off and that is frustrating as when I try to tell him to do something he just does NOT listen until you actually get into his line of vision and practically yell it out.

His usual vocal tic is also gone but he has developed a cough that is somewhat suspicious to me that its possible its a tic. Not sure

Another thing that I noticed....His ears arent flame red anymore. We never knew why they were always red. THen when treatment started last time the redness went away and then it came back during this last infection. Now its gone.

It is amazing to me that one week ago he was a mess and today he is soo much better. Bart really messes with his head!

Thanks everyone,
pattiecake

I'm glad your son is improving! How old is he? Has he started school? What med is he on for the bart?

Lyddie,
he is turning 7 on Monday. And it will be a joyus birthday for us.

Dr. J has him on rifampin 150mg twice a day and Bactrum single dose twice a day. It started working in 3 doses. It was amazing.

I am wondering if my son has bartonella as well as lyme.

Dr J only tested him for mycoplasma and Babesia.

Austin has mood swings everyday, they aren't bad everyday but his behavior his very unlike him. Once he gets into a mood its very hard to say austin stop it. He just continues.

He can also get very silly acting for no reason and its hard for him to stop it.

Alot of the times I feel like I am talking to the wall. Having to repeat myself over and over again.
