Is anyone else having this problem ..my Lyme is pretty much under control and I'm on my way off of my Lyme meds ..however, since I got steroid injections for my back (thinking the steroids might have caused this irregular stuff) ..anyhow, since then I've been spotting for 2 wks, then I'm fine for 2 wks. Spotting for 2, then nothing. This is really weird. Had a D/C and been to the gyno to make sure all is fine "down there" which it is ..tried some bith control, but it KILLS me w/ migraines. Anyone on any good birth control that doesn't trigger their migraines ...and anyone else have this spotting that comes and goes, without real periods?? Any ideas?? Thanks..

More info please-
Did you get steroid shots while you had Lyme?
Do you think irregularity of menstrual cycle may be Lyme related? Possibility of a continuing symptom-maybe you're not ready to stop Lyme tx?
Explain the pain in your back that prompted the steroid shots, please.

RSF, it is difficult to tell what is to blame..My daughter has some of the same but we have had to up some hormone meds and still have some troubles.
If you read the medicine inserts with most of the lyme meds, psych meds, etc..almost all indicate that they may make oral birth control less effective.
Good luck and it was wise to check out things with a gyn..I have a cousin that had problems and unfortunately has waited too long..Also reminds me I am due for a visit..lymemomtooo
