For Daughter's long time Lyme Disease we are trying a combination of Burrascano's suggestions and some newer protocols.

Started a Diflucan regime of 200 mgs per day for 30 days.
We have just received our supplements of Cordyceps and Reishi mushrooms, which we have never tried before.

Because Diflucan is anti-fungal, do you think we should wait to take these after we stop the diflucan?

Our regime will be 30 days of Diflucan followed by 30 days of minocycline and Bactrim in combination.

We will be taking it slow to see the side effects of each additional antibiotic or supplement.
Thanks, Pal Linda

As far as I know taking the Diflucan and coryceps and reishi all at the same time should not be a problem. I would suggest you do what I do with hubby -- we always start any new supplement or med at a low dose and ramp up slowly -- also wait at least 2 or 3 days in between adding each new thing.

You didn't say, but I hope the Reishi is from Pharmanex -- I know it is expensive at around $100 monthly, but hubby has tried other brands and does not feel the same on them and his bloodwork reflects this.

Per Dr B the Reishi from Pharmanex has cracked spores and I haven't been able to find another product with this feature. On the Pharmanex brand hubby's total white count was middle of the normal range and individual components were all normal. Without this supplement or on other brands monocytes are usually high and lymphocytes are usually low and total white count is barely in the normal range.

Have not tried the Cordyceps.

Good luck and be sure to let us know how this works out.

So you are actually taking Bactrim and Mono at the same time and doing alright?

I have actually devised a regime using suggestions from Tom Grier and Burrascano and Dr. Schardt. I have been out of the loop for several years, waiting for daughter to give the OK to renewed treatment.

I haven't been in touch with Dr. B since the court case, as I am in England and he was afraid of prescribing overseas. I will renew contact with him as well as Dr. Andrew Wright in England when I get time. Been studying so much my head is spinning.

Tom Grier recommends the Bactrim for neurological symptoms - which you all have I am sure, so I thought it would go nicely with the mino.

I am trying to be careful and keeping records of symptoms, as well as supplements and drugs.

We are starting with 30 days of Diflucan - been 10 days so far, adding COQ10 100 mgs and the Methylcobalamin next.

After 30 days, stop the Diflucan and start the Mino
If tolerable, after 10 days, add the Bactrim
If tolerable, after 10 days, add the Reishi & Cordyceps

Then start over with Diflucan and all suplements for 30 days
then Mino and Bactrim for 30 days add Creatine

Will do this for 3 months and if nothing happens or if mono intolerable, switch to Amoxicillin and Probenecid and sequence with Biaxin

After 3 months, switch to Flagyl and Ceftin sequencing with any of the above!

We will ramp up, start slow and be careful.
No extra Vit C or Vit D

Thank you all for your advice

Pal Linda
