I wondered what others use for pain, mostly back, leg and some headaches.
I have tried tylenol, aspirin, tramadol, naprosin, darvocet and percocet. The percocet is the only thing that seems to touch it on bad days, the rest I don't notice much change.
I am concerned because I know it is habit forming and drs. don't like to just let you have it. I find that I have to evaluate my pain to see if I feel it is worthy of the stronger drug.
I don't use all of the above at once. I am pretty much on tylenol, but I wonder about the side effects of to much of that.
Any natural helpers? Thanks.

Check out the book "The Truth About Chronic Pain." It will make you rethink the negative stereotypes of many pain medications. If you are in pain, get it treated. Your body may get dependant, which simply means you will need to increase the dosage for the same effect. This is different from addiction. Addiction rarely happens to people in true need of the meds.
I have found both Ultracet and Vicodin helpful. Most of my pain was actually muscular. The best treatment for that was Flexeril. I gradually increased to 30 mg a night and took that every day for about 18 months. I just stopped last week.
