Vitamin C - IV, or IM or orally - does nothing to detox the brain. It takes other agents.

Neither does Glutathione alone.

Neither does Alpha Lipoic Acid alone.

The process has to be combined or done in sequence with other agents.

From my experience and listening and learning.

Take care.

Yes, and I did it at Sierra Integrative in Reno, NV (noticed you are from California and wanted to warn you about that place). I did IV Vit. C and Major Autoheme, and Photoluminescence there for 6 weeks and spent over $12,000 and it did nothing for my lyme, but now I'm in major debt as insurance won't touch alternative medicine treatment.

My 2 cents. Although I am a firm believer in taking high levels of Vit. C., but not as an alternative to abx.

Don't know if I can help, but maybe you can add it to your notes.

GiGi is so right. Vit C I.V. or oral (extreme cases must be I.V.) and used with other means as an immune booster. It ( Vit C) will not kill Lyme but can help you with other protocols.

For me it boosted my immune system so my immune system kicked in to do what it is suppose to do to protect me from invaders to carry on.

I'm not a doctor.

Use a non-corn derived vit c I.V (allergies you must consider) It plays a big part in recovery.

Lyme is different for us all. If you can come up with a combination of a process of elimination of what has worked, eliminate what has not worked and add one by one of what you have studied that sounds like your situation may work for you than try them one by one.

Supplements take 30 days at least... one by one. If you try two many at once you have to start over one by one and get very discouraged very fast.

You get so sick you just want it over and over fast. Or..it is your loved ones. Children, parents, brothers, sisters....on & on.

So you jump! Skip! Beg!

How can we get rid of this quick......

Quick, it will not come. Learn real quick....

It is a slow process.

Instead of finding a quick fix, start planning now for the future of how to live with a life long illness.

You maybe lucky and find the right protocol and out of here in one year (at the least) many more to be realistic.

So.......Saddle up. Try each vit, each mineral, each protocol, each out of the box remendy you find and glorify in positive results and learn from negative results.

None of it here is a cure.

If there was a cure we would be posting it.

You learn at the beginning that it is a slow process. WHY? Because we are all different, our immune systems work differently and this is a very bad bug that knows how to regulate your body in order to survive.

Back to your question..........

Yes use I.V. Vit C (non-corn) with other protocols.

I wish you better health, and Love.

Kathy

In my opinion the major use for Vitamin C is adrenal support -- a major problem with any long term illness and Lyme may possibly also directly affect the production of adrenal hormones (not sure if this has actually been proven).

The sicker you are the more Vitamin C you need. With either oral or IV it is better to start slow and work your way up to optimum dose. You will know when you get there by increased energy levels. One doctor told my spouse that IV vitamin C is detoxed thru the kidneys and oral vitamin C is detoxed thru the liver -- I don't think I have that backwards, but couldn't swear to it.

If you try to increase the dose too fast it will make you very tired and too toxic. An oral vitamin C flush could flush out candida from the G.I. tract but you could end up with the dreaded itch elsewhere on your skin.

I did IV vit C once (low dose -20 g) I herxed for 2 days. LLMD said it probably boosted my immune system. I will do it again when I am improved, maybe only 5 or 10g.

But I love IV glutathione.

Each of us has find what works for us.

After doing hundreds of these over many years I realized they did nothing!!! I thought they were helping my immune system, but i had Lyme the whole time and Vit C IV's did nothing. They cost too much, and you pee it right out anyway. You can also get severe low blood sugar from Vit C because the body can recognize it as insulin. Its awful stuff, burns the veins and makes you sick too. I started with 25 grams, then went to 50, then 75 then, 100 grams, then I tried hydrogen peroxide and ozone...nothing worked.
Just try taking oral Vit C Ester C etc to bowel tolerance, its much cheaper and much better for you. [Razz]
