Hi Everyone,

First, I want to say thank you for all of the help that I received from this site. The people here are amazing and I am grateful to have found you.

I was bit by a tick in June 05 and started getting symptoms about four weeks later. I was told by my PCP that I had severe allergies and from there did the research on my own. So after seeing two PCPs, I was referred to an Infectious Disease Doctor who was very helpful and willing to listen. I was put on 8 weeks of Doxycycline and with only one week left with my antibiotics, I am feeling great and I have been symptom free for almost 3 weeks.

I was at the point that I thought I would never feel okay again. I was lucky in that I caught it early but without the Internet I think this would have gone mcuh further and I would be in a lot of pain.

So I wanted to stop in and say thank you a million times and I hope that I can repay the favor someday.

Take care,
Corinne

Wow - you are so lucky to have caught it early enough that the treatment was short! Good for you!

Great news for you Corinne, and how smart you were to swithch PCP's and lucky for you, you found an ID to listen.

Tree gave you valuable advice, please watch for returning symptoms and do not hesitate to get back on abx.

Cheers to you , Stella Marie
