First, I want to say thank you for all of the help that I received from this site. The people here are amazing and I am grateful to have found you.
I was bit by a tick in June 05 and started getting symptoms about four weeks later. I was told by my PCP that I had severe allergies and from there did the research on my own. So after seeing two PCPs, I was referred to an Infectious Disease Doctor who was very helpful and willing to listen. I was put on 8 weeks of Doxycycline and with only one week left with my antibiotics, I am feeling great and I have been symptom free for almost 3 weeks.
I was at the point that I thought I would never feel okay again. I was lucky in that I caught it early but without the Internet I think this would have gone mcuh further and I would be in a lot of pain.
So I wanted to stop in and say thank you a million times and I hope that I can repay the favor someday.
Take care, Corinne
