Hi everyone
I am having a problem thats driving me crazy and Im wondering if anyone else has experienced it.. In the last few mos or so I've been becomming

itchy after eating things that I have always eaten. Well it started again last night after 2 potato chips with some onion dip on them.

Yesterday I also had a bowel movement like 4 times and I noticed last night right before the last one I became really itchy and then afterwards I was still itchy but better.

Well the itching started again this morning after having some oatmeal which I've always eaten and has continued to get worse. I then had to have yet again another bowel movement. It got real bad before and now afterwards Im weak and still itchy...

Could this possibly be yeast related? I am at a loss and this itching is driving me crazy and getting me to a point I am afraid to eat anything because I dont know if I'll react to it. I also have to start an antibiotic today for this virus I have and now I'm scared to take that too for the same reason.

Help [Frown]

I would think it could be yeast....but 2 potato chips?? Doesn't seem like that would cause itching....maybe the dairy from the dip??

Oatmeal definitely could be a problem if it's yeast....and the "extra" bowel movements could be an indication of a yeast problem.

Are you taking Nystatin? Perhaps you could ask your dr for that and some Diflucan. You can take the Nystatin ALL THE TIME without any adverse reactions. [do NOT get the liquid form!!]

Diflucan you need to be more careful with, but it's pretty safe.

Read the 5-step program for eliminating the yeast. It works!

Yeast is a definite possibility. It is also possible that you have developed a gluten intolerance (Celiac's disease).

My understanding is the slightest amount of gluten (from wheat) can cause symptoms and itching is a symptom. The dip probably has gluten in it. You might be able to see what happens if you eat something with sugars that is wheat free - like a plain banana. If you itch, then likely yeast. If you don't, then maybe Celiac's.

Thank you both so much for your quick replies. I have to say Im kind of scared right now because I'm home alone feeling like this and my anxiety is riding high so if I make some mistakes please forgive me.

I just spoke to my MD and he is calling me in 10 days of Diflucan to see if it helps.

I forgot to mention I am also itchy in my ermmm, hmmm, "womans area" really bad after a bowel movement. All the way around from front to back.

The other thing is last night after the last bm and then this morning after the bm I have this aweful sour taste in my mouth. I dont know how else to explaine it but it's like sour and yucky tasting and smells bad too...

I can't stand this anymore! It's ALWAYS something.. 15 yrs of this and it's ALWAYS something. I think I'm at the end of my rope [Mad]

Sorry for ranting [Frown]
