I am on Dr. C's protocol and according to it I am taking Flagyl w/o another abx. I am taking 500 mg./day working up to 750 mg/day.

According to many posters on lymenet you are to take another abx with it to kill the spirochetes.

I am confused about this. Could anyone help me with this question?

everthing i have read and learned about flagal is you take it with abx.The therory is the abx sends the spirocitttes into hibernation in the cystic form, and then once you are forcing them in the cystic form you hit them with flagal that kills the cystic form.I have had lyme 19 years and have never taken flagal alone. flagel stoped working for me.I am now on another new drug to kill the cystic form called tindamax.but it is hard on my stomch
good luck to you. dana
