I remember reading posts about people herxing at 4 days, 4 weeks and 4 months.

Jordan has been on IV antibiotics for 4 months. He has been much worse since Monday night. I'm thinking it's a herx.

Did anyone have a bad herx at 4 months (opposed to 2 or 3 months)?

Thanks!

I recall herxing approximately every 4 weeks, but then everyone is probably a little different in this regard.

possibly could be a herx, but given 4 months straight on i.v. abx, i'd first do a comprehensive review of the effects of abx, checking at least 3 reliable sources, PDR,sites on drug effects, before deciding if its a herx.

if on abx for 4 months straight, i'd consider a break.

one interpretation of worsening symptoms and signs would be a rebound of the immune system, and if vigorous, i'd ask the doc for something that would tone down this effect of the immune system rebound, but not necessarily quelling it altogether that would thereby give TBDs a greater chance for repair and comeback.

a second interpretation of a worsening of Sx, could very well be teh effects, direct by the abx themselves(producing vitamin, mineral, and other nutrient deficits, and/or indirect of the abx, say, by inducing candidiasis.

restore depleted nutrients, but slowly, and not with megadoses.
