I was on Doxy for 3 weeks and wasn't showing any signs of improvement. The next day my pcp put me on IV Rocephin. About 10 hours after taking IV Rocephin I started having bad tremors.
I went to ER and Dr told me I was having herx reaction. For the next 2 weeks all my symptoms got worse and by the 3rd and 4th week I started showing signs of improving.
I wonder if my reaction was a herx or were the 2 meds taken too close to each other??

IMO you experienced a herx.
If anything the fact that you may have still had some doxy in your system while getting IV rocephin may have been a good thing.
I went from doxy and ammoxy to rocephin and I believe I was on rocephin while taking oral zith and leviquin and ammox and or doxy...so I doubt their was any connection to how you felt and the combo of abx you may have been exposed to...
Glad you're feeling better..............zman
