My LLMD has me on Doxy 200mg IV Q day. I've got late stage lymes and have was on Rocephin for 6 weeks and am on Zith also. Has anybody been on a hire IV Doxy dose?

I have a friend who was on IV Doxy at 150mg twice a day, her doctor wanted her on 100mg three times a day but that was too much for her to handle. Now she is changing to 200mg once a day. So a higher dose is sometimes used but you're not on a terribly low dose.

I was on I.V. Doxy for 5 months -400 mg. once a day four times a week and 500 mg. the other three days. The pharmacist was afraid to dispense these amounts I.V. but reluctantly did and I'm still here so it appears I tolerated it. The drug was difficult on my PICC line and I needed to replace it after 4 months because doxycycline causes clots in the cathether. The drug helped me in the beginning but then I leveled off and changed to I.V. Rocephin. Hope this helps!
