Sore throat that comes and goes but lately is more persistant and just kind of bumps in my mouth. Just wondering if it would be related to Lyme, coinfections at all or an entirely new malady for me to enjoy.

I've had both and they both pretty much resolved with antibiotic treatment. It took a while though. David

I got this, along with heartburn, when I stopped taking a viral inhibator. It went away when I went back on.
It can also be yeast.

Yes, had that for years, along with blisters in my throat that would then peel.

I understand that one of the symptoms of Lyme is a sore throat. I know I've had one one and off for the last couple of years. It was one of the symptoms that led to testing.
If what you have is thrush, you may find help in something called Ora-thrush, which is a concentrate you mix with water and gargle. It wipes out my sore throat pain immediately. You might ask your doctor if you can try it. I don't think there would be anything in it to harm you--it's used on babies.
Do you take a lot of probiotics, acidoophilus, eat loads of yogurt, etc. ? If not, it may be a yeast problem. WHat do I know? WHat does your doctor say about it? When do you see him/her again?

I get them both.
The sore throats were common when I was infected, two of the times I believe I was infected. They haven't been common in many years, but I do have a mild one now that comes and goes. I'm just getting proper treatment.
I get mouth sores: gum sores, tongue sores, you name it. It can happen for me with a flare. I think it may be viral, too.
