Has anyone done the Infrared blood treatment? As it was explained to me, the LLMD draws blood, puts it under infra-red light to kill bb, viruses etc, then transfuses it back into the body.

LLMD said it works similar to IVIg without the risk of putting 3rd party blood products into the body. Anyone familiar with this treatment? If so, is it safe? Any downside? Does it also kill off some of the beneficial components or Antibodies in the blood?

I did UVB Ultraviolet but not infrared, the UVB didnt help me any, and it hurt really bad, they need to use a huge needle and run your blood though this machine, then pump it back into you. Big ouch! Hopefully yours is something else.

did 12 treatments a few years ago - it didn't help.....however, it was relatively painless, if i remember correctly the nurse used a fairly large butterfly.

Deb, thanks for the heads up on this vague & ecclectic treatment. [Wink]

Amazing how many things we try in the spirit of wellness.

infrared light is plain HEAT.
I haven't done this or uvb, but read up on it in 1999, so its not fresh in my mind.

I'd imagine that to assess the benefits, one would have to undergo many treatments on the basis that all the blood that is in the tissues that eventually comes back to the blood stream gets treated. It would have to be based on the time it takes for all the blood in the body to get heated. 1-3 treatments may not cover all the blood, cause it didn't cover the time during which the total blood was cycled.
